Another One

Saw another moth tonight, Chad just looked at me and smiled.

I have no idea where it went.

Maybe it's in his sock drawer. :)

Tonight's Adventure

LET ME REMIND YOU, I am completely freaked out by fast-moving bugs, crickets, bees, etc. Well over the last few weeks, we've had a few GIGANTIC mosquitos and moths fly into the house. I don't know how they're getting in, other than maybe the doggie door? When they get in the house, I get all anxious and BEG Chad to kill them. They seriously scare the crap out of me and make me cringe. They are HUGE.

Tonight, Chad is at a concert with a friend and I'm at home with Brynn. A few minutes ago, I wish I would have had a video camera so I could record what Allie, Mel and I did. This HUGE moth started flying around the light on the ceiling fan and I was like ok, I'll be fine if it just stays WAY UP THERE (we have faulted ceilings). Of course, IT DIDN'T. It was dodging me... seriously. It must have known I was completely freaked out. I went and got one of my flip-flops and was like no way... I'll be getting way too close to that thing if I actually hit it... then I'll feel it smush and I'll want to throw up. Ugh. I tossed the shoe and grabbed my mop (let me clarify, my 21" microfiber mop, my Waxie readers!). The moth landed on the ceiling fan for a second, so I ran to the switch and turned it on (thinking that it would start moving really fast and fling the moth against the wall and kill it... or something?!). Well, that didn't work, the fan was super slow and the moth just started flying all over the place again.

Allie and Mel were outside and when they saw me running and jumping all over the place, they came running in and thought I was playing. THEN, Mel saw it. She growled at it, barked at it and tried to bite at it. Allie was just all hyper and tried to chase it. Those three (Allie, Mel and the HUGE scary moth) were all going crazy. Somehow, Mel got a hold of the moth and then I yelled at her because I didn't want her to eat it and get sick, so she spit it out and the dang thing started to fly again. I smacked it with the mop (mid air) and it went down. I smushed it with the mop, thought I killed it and the dang thing got up again! Mel growled and I finally smushed it good. I then used like 7 balled up paper towels to pick it up and throw it in the trash.

Whew. Thanks Mel, I couldn't have done it without you. Now please don't get sick. You're always an expensive trip to the vet!!

Ana

Please keep my sister-in-law Ana in your prayers. She is in the middle of surgery right now because doctors have found a hole in one of her lungs. We don't have much information yet, Jody (Chad's mom) is at the hospital with her right now.

Ana is 29 weeks pregnant.

We love you Ana!!

***UPDATE 3/28***
Ana's doing good... was released from the hospital today. Isn't going back to work until after the baby is born. Still has a tube in her to release the air from her chest cavity, will probably have it until after the baby is born. They also said that she has a tear in her esophagus. May have to have surgery right after she delivers, to repair her lung. She will have to have a c-section, they are hoping to hold off until she's 38 weeks.

Ana and Keith's baby shower is next weekend in Laguna Niguel, CA. I just found out tonight that around 100 people have RSVP'd for it. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH STUFF THEY'RE GOING TO GET?!?!?! WHOA. We're staying with them while we're there next weekend, it's going to be so much fun!! Ah, mini-vacation!!

Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium

Bri flew in last Thursday night and we had a lot of fun while she was here!!

We didn't really do a whole lot on Thursday or Friday, we just hung out around the house. On Saturday morning, we took Brynn to swimming lessons, went home for lunch and then went and picked up Matt so that we could all go to the Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium!!

We all had a lot of fun, Matt said that he liked it better there than at the Phoenix Zoo. We all got to feed the giraffes and pet the sting rays, which were really cool!!

Here are some pictures from our fun day!!

We dropped Matt back off at home and hung out for a while. Brynn and Matt became buddies for the day and he even tried to carry her around for a while. :)

What a fun day!!

Smooth Away - As Seen On Tv

I hate shaving my legs. I tried to wax them once and it as horrible. So, back to shaving I went.

Well, when my mom was here last month, we saw a bunch of infomercials for SMOOTH AWAY and I was really tempted to buy it. Well, I didn't then but I went to WalMart yesterday and saw that they had it for $9.88 so I figured I might as well try it. It was cheaper there than it was on the infomercial.

I forgot about it until about a 1/2 hour ago... I tried it and it is FREAKING AWESOME!!!!! Basically, it's like a non-aggressive piece of sandpaper that you rub on your legs and the hair COMPLETELY DISAPPEARS!! It doesn't hurt, it actually feels really good!! It only took like 10 minutes to do both of my legs. LOVE IT.

GO TO WALMART AND GET SOME RIGHT NOW. It will make your day.

Happy Birthday Grampie Don!!

Hope this made your day!!

Way Behind

Sorry I've been slacking lately, things have been busy around here. I haven't even uploaded pictures since the end of February!!

I'll try to post this weekend but AUNTIE BRI IS HERE VISITING, so that means our weekend is completely packed. We're starting off by taking Brynn to swimming lessons and then we're heading to the Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium (and we're taking Matt with us)!!

Woo hoo!! (Here's what Brynn thinks...)

New Shoes

A couple weeks ago, it started to get pretty warm outside and we decided that we needed to get Brynn some sandals. We thought they would be a lot easier to deal with when we go to swimming lessons too. Well, NO ONE has sandals on their shelves yet, unless you're looking for something dressy. I found her a pair of cheapy crocs at Target for $8 and figured they would work for a while.

Chad HATES crocs, so when Brynn decided to do this, he was pretty much squirming the whole time. ;o)

I have don't know where this smile is coming from but she does it all the time right now. She must get it from her Daddy.

Cool Treat

A few weeks ago, I bought Brynn some Gogurt and the girl who checked us out said that she freezes them for her son. So I did the same... she LOVED IT. A little messy, but fun. Maybe next time Daddy will cut it open like a popsicle. ;o)
