Mimi hasn't seen Brynn since we were back in Ohio for Christmas in 2007. They're getting along great and having a lot of fun. Can you tell? Mimi's wearing Brynn's sunglasses. :)

Hubby Saved The Day
We're having a crazy week/weekend. Mom, Mimi (Mom's mom), my Aunt Lindy from Colorado and one of her friends are all here visiting. Lindy's friend is staying until Wednesday, Lindy is here until next Sunday, Mom and Mimi are staying until the morning of the 13th.
Yesterday Mom, Brynn and I all went to WalMart to do some shopping and when we were leaving, the van felt a little heavy. It was about 4:30. I just thought it was the stuff in the back of the van that we had just bought but then I started hearing a funny noise, so we pulled off on a side road (in the shade!), I freaked out and called Chad. I had a COMPLETELY FLAT tire. Brynn was already being a turd because she was over tired, so I was convinced this was going to be horrible.
Chad got there in about 5 minutes (he must have been flying because it should have taken longer than that). He had the tire off pretty fast because he had his awesome cordless impact gun. After he got the tire off, he threw it in the back of the truck and I flew to Discount Tire because they closed at 5:00. I made it there at 4:50 and they ended up having to replace the tire. BUT because Chad had bought some kind of a warranty on them, the new tire was free. The only thing I had to pay for was $30 for a warranty on the new tire. Whew.
It was definitely a whole lot stressful than what I thought it was going to be. All thanks to Chad!! Love you Babe!!

Chop Chop
Brynn (and I) got another hair cut on Tuesday night. Her hair was getting so long and it makes her look so grown up, I had her cut about three inches off !! :)
Now it's between her chin and her shoulders. She keeps running from us when we have the camera, these are the only pictures that I have on the computer so far:

Chad had a great idea to help cool off in this nasty summer heat, he pulled out the sprinkler!!
Bean didn't like to run through it but she loved to stand there and let the water fall on her!!

Starting Them Young
Last weekend we went to a party at the Casey's Cabana and had a blast. TJ's band played, Jenn made some awesome food, the decorations were perfect and it was just a really nice time. There were about a million kids there and I don't know how Jenn stayed sane, but somehow she did.
Well, somehow Garrett, Connor, Luke and Brynn all discovered the keg and thought it was the coolest thing ever. They were playing with the ice and the cups for the most part, but we got some great pictures.

Big Girl Bed
Over the weekend I found a smokin' deal on a toddler bed for Brynn on Craigslist.com. Her crib converts to a toddler bed but she didn't like that at all, so we decided to try out a toddler bed that looks completely different from her crib.
She saw it when I brought it home yesterday and was all excited. We left it in the garage last night and wanted her to get excited about it instead of trying to force it on her. Well, it worked.
We keep calling it her "big girl bed" or the "cool bed" and she just thinks it is the most awesome thing ever. We always walk out through the garage in the morning when we leave, so she saw it this morning and started freaking out and saying "my bed mommy, my bed!!" and then sat on it for a minute before we left for the day. Then after dinner, we were going on a walk to the mailbox and she got really excited again. She almost cried when we walked in the house because she couldn't see it anymore. So, we decided it was time.
She helped us clean it off and put all of her blankets (all 15,000 of them) on the bed, along with her pillow (she calls it a "poo-dough") and her bears. Then, she decided that she didn't want anything on the bed and threw all of it off. Then, she put everything back on... and took it back off... etc. Whatever, it kept her busy. :) Then, we told her to sit on the bed so we could take some pictures and she smacked her cheek on the side of it. She was a tough girl though, no tears were shed.
Here are some pictures of Brynn in her new "cool bed".
"Oh my gosh, this is SO COOL!!"
"I just totally whacked my cheek on my new bed but I'm a tough girl"
"I LOVE IT!!"

Mother's Day
I had a great Mother's Day this year. We met GGMa and GGPa for breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then went to Bass Pro Shops so Brynn could see the fishies again. After that, we all headed home and took a nap. :)
Here are some pictures that GGMa took:

Happy Easter
Um, yeah. Way behind on posting.
We had a nice easter this year, we went to Steph and Brad's house, which has been our tradition for the last several years. This year was a little different because the Casey's, Scott and Connor weren't there... they had a horrible stomach bug.
Here are some pictures from Easter day and the night before, when we were decorating eggs.

Wishful Thinking
I'm hoping to be able to get a more realistic picture than this if I make it on the show!!
I found this on the ABC15 WEBSITE. Awesome.

WOF - ROUND 2 & 3
I went to the WOF Round 2 tryouts this morning and I ended up staying for Round 3!!
Details:
Arrived at the Arizona Biltmore around 8:30. Had NO CLUE of where I was going once I got there, it's a big maze. Found a maintenance guy on a golf cart who showed me where to park. Parked. Found some other "contestants" and another maintenance guy who gave us a ride on a big golf cart to the building that we needed to go to. Thank you maintenance guys. The map that WOF e-mailed to us didn't help at all.
Waited about 10-15 minutes and we were allowed into the room that the tryouts were in. When I walked in, one of the WOF guys said he liked my shirt. Cool.
Took my seat, filled out my paperwork, waited about 5 minutes and the WOF people went through the rows of people in the room and made us call out our name so they could make a seating chart.
Shortly after they were finished with the seating chart, everyone took a turn trying to select a letter and solve the puzzle from a simulated WOF game (a.k.a. laptop and projection screen). Well, my name got called twice and guess what? Both times, it was a brand new puzzle and neither puzzle had the letter I called out!! My nerves started kicking in after the first letter I missed, let alone the second. UGH!!
After we all had at least one turn, it was time for the 5 minute written puzzle quiz. I think I got about 75% of them right.
When we were finished with the quizzes, we took a 25 minute break so that the WOF people could grade them and figure out who they wanted to move on to Round 3. Right after the break, they announced that if your name was not called, you were to leave at that point and you would not be moving on.
Well, THEY CALLED MY NAME TO STAY FOR ROUND 3!! WOO HOO!!
Basically, we got called up to the front of the room in groups of 6 people (I think there were 30 of us at that point) to try to solve more puzzles and then do a mini-interview. I think it went ok, but I WAS SOOOO NERVOUS!!
They told us that if we were selected to be on the show, we would receive a letter in the mail in two weeks or less. If we don't get one by then, we didn't make it on the show.
So, for now, I'm just waiting....... PLEASE KEEP ME IN YOUR THOUGHTS!!!!!

So Proud
Brynn calls it a "beeper" (sweeper) - NOT A VACUUM, like her Daddy.
And yes, I labeled this post as a milestone. I'm so proud!!!

Temporary Camera
I didn't realize how much I'd miss the camera!!
Here are some random pictures that I took tonight with another camera that we have... so you can see what her eyes look like after surgery. She's doing pretty good but Chad and I were a little concerned because when she's tired, her eyes float A LOT more than what they did before the surgery. We squeezed her in for a follow up appointment yesterday afternoon and Dr. Salevitz said that she still looks really good. Her next appointment is on June 22nd and he said that we'll possibly be talking about patching her eye at that appointment. We'll see.
And here is the proof that she takes after her Daddy...
(And Mimi!! Did I show you this picture from Christmas 2007????)
