My Husband's Third Love

(Or, um, his second child...) Is ALMOST complete! The whole reason behind buying "Kermit" was to save money on gas three years ago. "Kermit" was to be his daily driver. Hmph.

This car lead to he and three other VW friends starting up the Phoenix chapter of D3 (Daily Driven Dubz). They now have 25 members.

Chad's list of things to do:

* Purchase and install new seatbelts
* Fix turn signals and wipers (like he'll ever let rain touch this thing...)
* New exhaust

Chad's list of things completed:

* New transmission and oil cooler (this was project # 1 that lead to project # 4287...)
* Rear body bumper mounts
* Did a complete body overhaul, meaning body work and re-primer
* New carpet
* 1st round of pinstriping by Ol' Sol
* Completely stripped the car down to NOTHING... AGAIN.
* Cut jumbo sized hole in the roof of the car to put in a ragtop sunroof
* Reprimered/repinstriped ENTIRE car including motor fan shroud and new swamp cooler (kind of like a/c)
* Installed new door panels, seats, headliner and 2054cc engine
* Somewhere in there Chad has put about three different exhaust systems on it and it's still not the way he wants it...

Here is a picture history of Kermit (I will fix those HUGE pictures over the weekend if I have a chance, I don't know what the deal is!):

  2. Chad-looks good. It always amazes me when people can do special talents like this! It is truly amazing. At least YOUR engine is running! TJ took his "BABY" to a mechanic to get fixed. TJ & Matt went to go visit "BABY" last weekend. He should have her home soon! Do you think I would get more "action" if I were a corvette? :-)
